Wine Review: This pale straw colored Sauvignon Blanc from Merriam opens with a gooseberry and pineapple like bouquet with a hint of grapefruit. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and quite smooth for a Sauvignon Blanc. The flavor profile is a tasty mild grapefruit with hints of gentle minerality, green pepper, honeydew melon and lemon verbena. The finish is dry and easy going. This Sauvignon Blanc is very versatile and food friendly. It would pair perfectly with lemon pepper shrimp scampi. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Danielle's Estate Sauvignon Blanc is light straw in color, a very floral wine with notes of citrus blossom, apricot, tangerine and honey dew melon. On the palate, medium texture, bright acid with passion fruit, melon, citrus (lemon) and white peach. A long lasting viscous finish. This medium bodied aromatic wine is clean and crisp with a lingering finish. Enjoy!
