Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark red colored Pinot Noir from Merriam’s “Estate” vineyard opens with a fragrant and attractive black raspberry and mild vanilla oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty plum with notes of black pepper and gentle smoky oak. I also detected hints of red beet and black currant. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for a while. I would pair this very nice Pinot with coq au vin or with roasted pork tenderloin with thyme. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: In the glass, bright light red hues, darker to the edge, aromatic with scent of vanilla, strawberry and tea leaves. Medium weight on the palate with notes of cherry cola, fresh cherry pie and light spice. Long and luscious finish. Four barrels produced. Enjoy!
