Wine Review: This very very dark ruby colored red blend was very popular with the crowd at our recent Colonial Spirits tasting. It opens with a mild blueberry bouquet with a hint of black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black currant and mineral blend with hints of oak and a touch of blueberry. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and fine tannins drift away nicely. The tasters thought this would be a very good everyday red. I would suggest pairing it with Theresa’s meatloaf. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dark and dense hue in color, bright rim of deep purple. Aromatics of raspberry, cassis, molasses and cherry. The palate gives way to round fruit, concentrated black cherry, red berries and a hint of Earl Gray tea. Soft tannins and bright acid. Great for drinking now or hold for a few years. produced. Enjoy!
