Wine Review: This inky midnight blue colored Cabernet from Rockpile opens with a black currant bouquet with a hint of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a red plum with hints of red currant, black raspberry, black pepper, and oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger and are nicely prolonged. Joe and I thought this Cab would pair well with Theresa's meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dark, rich purple hues with bright edges. Tight red berry fruit, dark bing cherry, light vanilla tunes, and a hint of floral violets. Rich round mouthfeel, red cherries and semi-sweet chocolate. Bright acid and firm young tannins with a long lingering finish. Drinks well now, but will pay dividends with patience. Enjoy!
