Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored red blend opens with a fragrant blueberry jam bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, the flavor profile is a blend of black currant and black raspberry with hints of black licorice and black pepper. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins and flavors linger for quite some time. I would pair this good value red with a thick Angus bacon and sauteed mushroom burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Medium ruby, garnet in color, with aromas of "lots" of chocolate, black current, and minty vanilla on the nose. On the palate this wine rings of those cherry drop cough drops you took as a child, with notes of red raspberry. Medium tannins and bright acidity give way to a soft lingering finish of raspberry and cassis. A perfect wine for the grill, ribs, steaks, lamb, and roasted chicken. Age worthy "you bet" but enjoyable now.
