Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet from Merriam was well received by the panel. It opens with a very inviting blueberry bouquet with hints of red licorice, menthol and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth, yet juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry with hints of minerality, oak and dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build up and stick around for a while. The panel really liked this Rockpile Cab. They would decant it first and then serve it with a comboy ribeye. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep garnet red with crimson edge – aromas of dense cassis, dark chocolate, cherry, and bright red fruit berries. On the palate mixed wild berries, raspberries with a dash of cranberry. Full bodied with bright acidity lends to a long finish and notes of cedar box and light vanilla tones.
