Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with black licorice bouquet with a smoky oak and iron bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a black cherry and black currant blend with notes of mineality and old oak. I also detected a hint of plum. The finish is very dry and its dusty tannins are very sticky and linger for quite some time. This Cab needs some fat, so decant it and serve it with a well-marbled ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A brick-red brilliant ruby color with aromas of tea leaves, cassis, jumble berries, caramalized pecans and a hint of flintyness. Blackberry jam appears on the palate along with dark cherries and dried red berry fruit. Lasting finish with smooth tannins, cedar plum and cassis.
