Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple Cabernet from Merriam Vineyards opens with a menthol and red raspberry bouquet with a hint of leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry with nicely integrated oak and hints of menthol, black cherry, and black pepper. The finish is quite dry and its substantial building tannins are very sticky and linger for quite a while. This wine certainly can be cellared for a while, but can also be decanted if you can't wait. Try it with a well marbled ribeye. Enjoy – Ken
