Wine Review: This ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Meeker opens with an attractive raspberry bouquet with hints of strawberry and teaberry gum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and round. The flavor profile is a gentle raspberry and red plum blend with notes of teaberry and oolong tea. I also detected hints of clove and nutmeg in the mix. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for quite some time. There is some incidental heat the also shows up, but it does not distract. I would pair this Cab Franc with a marinated grilled hanger steak. Enjoy – Ken
