Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a blackberry bouquet with hints of dried oolong tea and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidity, velvety smooth and very juicy. The flavor profile is a black plum and fine stony mineral blend with notes of black licorice and blackberry. We also detected hints of black tea and a touch of mild oak. The finish is dry and its managed fine-grained tannins are persistent and stick around for quite a while. The Panel would pair this Cab with New York strip steak. I could also be cellared for a few years as well. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: 2018 Fifty Tons Cabernet Sauvignon excites us with aromas of dark cherry, cigar box, cinnamon toast and baking spices. The palate is layered with lush blackberries, stewed strawberries, tomato leaf and concentrated black plum. The structured chalky tannins and long juicy finish will leave you wanting another sip.
