Wine Review: This pitch-black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Meander opens with a black currant and coffee bouquet with hints of blackberry and mint. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round and nicely balanced. The flavor profile is a mocha and black currant blend with notes of minerality and oak. We also detected hints of blackberry and buttery pancake. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins stick around for quite a while. I would pair this Cab with a Capital Grille’s bone-in Kona crusted dry-aged NY strip steak with shallot butter. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Big, rich, dry, full bodied red wine, with a hint of vanilla and a slight touch of dustiness typically found in Rutherford soil.
