Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Syrah from McPrice Myers opens with a black olive and blackberry bouquet with hints of black pepper, bay leaf, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, concentrated, and robust. The flavor profile is a blackberry and black olive blend with notes of black licorice, black plum, and black pepper. We also detected hints of loam, oak, and a touch of blueberry in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins build up and stick around for quite some time. I would decant this Syrah for a bit before pairing it with grilled marinated steak tips. Enjoy – Ken and Mark

Winemaker Notes: Plum sauce, mulberry, café au lait, gingerbread, sweet olive, tuberose, tellicherry peppercorn, singed rosemary, nori, pâte. Palate is soft, supple, alluring, well integrated fine and polished tannins coast to a suave, elegant finish.
