Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and deep garnet colored Sangiovese and Merlot blend opens with very inviting a black cherry, sandalwood, and cedar bouquet with hints of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. It is also savory. The flavor profile is a tart red cherry and cedar blend with notes of crusted stone minerality, cinnamon, and red licorice. We also detected hints of blackberry and espresso. The finish is dry, and its medium tannins, flavors, and acidity show very nice length. The Panel would pair this wine with a Tuscan veal chop, baked lasagna, or beef Bolognese. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Monumentally built, crispy notes of elder, plum, berries, sandalwood, tobacco, with a very long, bright finish. Pair with dark sauces, game, or blue cheese.
