Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend from Mazzei is a terrific value. It opens with an attractive blueberry and ripe black cherry bouquet with hints of gentle cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth and savory. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced cherry and strawberry blend with notes of crushed stone minerality. I also detected hints of thyme and cinnamon. The finish is dry, and its flavors and moderate dusty tannins linger and last for a while. I would pair this impressive wine with Italian braciola and friends. Enjoy – Ken
