Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Malbec from Mascota opens with a blackberry and chocolate milk bouquet with hints of black plum. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and smooth. The flavor profile is a blackberry and tobacco blend with notes of stone dust and plum black tea. I also detected hints of oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins build-up and stick around for quite a while. I would pair this Malbec with braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
