Wine Review: This pale gold colored Vermentino from Martha Stoumen opens with an inviting almond and ripe honeydew melon bouquet with hints of lime and green apple, and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, clean, and fresh. The flavor profile is almond and lime blend with notes of green apple and light grapefruit. We also detected hints of saline, lemon verbena, and dried herbs. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. We would pair this impressive Vermentino with pan-fried rainbow trout. Enjoy - KWGTP
