Wine Review: This light-yellow colored Chardonnay from the Ritchie Vineyard opens with a fragrant and inviting butterscotch, vanilla, and oak bouquet with hints of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pineapple with notes of roasted almond, butterscotch, and Anjou pear. I also detected hints of minerality, mushrooms and a touch lemon. The finish is dry, and its flavors linger and last for quite some time. This Chard can certainly be enjoyed on its own. With food, I would pair it with sautéed trout with brown butter and almonds and fingerling potatoes. Enjoy - Ken
