Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Zinfandel based blend opens with a brambly blackberry bouquet with hints of cola, wet slate, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is a juicy black raspberry and stone dust blend with notes of plum and coffee. We also detected hints of green tea, black cherry, and a touch of spice. The finish is dry, and its dusty round tannins linger and last for a while. A second glass is a must, and you should stock up for your holiday parties. We would pair this very quaffable “Old Vine Red” wine with Stuart’s steak treats, meatloaf, or a meat-lovers pizza. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A multi-vintage wine from the 2021, 2020, and 2019 vintages, this wine a field blend of predominantly Zinfandel. One swirl of the glass and OVR Lot Number 74 jumps with lovely bright plum fruit. Dark and focused with notes of briar patch and black tea, this wine strikes a perfect balance between fruit forward enjoyment and layered sophistication. Medium bodied, with a mouth of sweet spice, velvety tannins, and electric vibrancy this wine pairs wine almost any meal or occasion.
