Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Beaujolais from Fleurie opens with an attractive mild mulberry and plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavors profile is a mineral infused mild red raspberry and red plum. I also detected hints of old oak mixed in. The finish is dry and gently fades away. This is true Cru level quality Beaujolais. I would pair it with leftover Thanksgiving turkey sandwiches. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2015 Maison L'Envoye Fleurie is vibrant and expressive with primary aromas of wild berries supported by sweet herbal notes and spice. Layers of mountain strawberry and juicy raspberry are complemented by notes of cinnamon and coriander. Harmonious tannins and a lively acidity carry the flavors to a long, mouthwatering finish.
