Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington state opens with a black cherry and black currant bouquet with hints of black olive and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and juicy. The flavor profile is a black cherry and oolong tea blend with notes of black currant, dried herbs and stony minerality. I also detected hints of red plum. The finish is dry, and its mild dusty tannins are nicely prolonged. I would pair this crowd-pleasing Cab with your favorite juicy burger off the grill. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Luke Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas dominated by marionberry and dark chocolate, accented by hints of mint and molasses. Supple, focused, and expressive, layering coffee-accented blackberry and currant flavors with polished tannins and hints of cedar and smoke.
