Wine Review: This translucent and light red colored Italian red blend from the Piedmont region is a very good value. It opens with a classic cherry and cedar bouquet with hints of oregano, soil, and strawberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, fresh, and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is slightly tart red cherry and cedar plank blend with notes of stony minerality. I also detected hints of red plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate sticky tannins linger and last for a while. I would pair this wine with your favorite meat lasagna recipe on a Tuesday night. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A unique blend of 80% Nebbiolo and 20% Arneis harvested from estate vineyards located inside the historic village of Barbaresco. Brilliant translucent ruby with a bouquet boasting crunchy red cherry, peach skin, and dried roses. This light-bodied red is at once electric and refreshing. Serve with a slight chill.
