Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Malbec from Luigi Bosca opens with an old wood and barnyard bouquet with hints of black cherry and graphite. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and supple. The flavor profile is graphite and marionberry blend with notes of toasted oak and black tea. We also detected hints of black olive and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Malbec with steak fajitas. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas in which red fruit stands out, reminiscent of ripe cherry. Spicy notes can also be perceived, thus adding complexity and very well integrated slightly roasted hues evoke coffee – the result of its aging process. A round wine, rich in red fruity notes, that is also a little spicy in the palate. Including firm tannins of balanced acidity, this robust red of great character vigorously fills the mouth with ripe fruit and offers a lingering and compact finish. Perfect to enjoy with a rack of lamb with sautéed mushrooms, or a semi-hard cheese platter.
