Wine Review: This midnight purple colored wine from Italy is very impressive. It opens with an attractive ripe cherry and black licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and rich. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild mineral infused black raspberry with notes of strawberry licorice. I also detected a hint of olive, oak and tart black cherry towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins show nice length. This Italian beauty would pair very nicely with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Luce 2014 is a deep ruby red colour with purple highlights. To the nose the wine expresses a bouquet of small black fruits, bitter cherries and elegant notes of cocoa and coffee. In the mouth the wine’s elegant and fine tannins bestow the wine with a creamy harmony and a very long persistence with a lightly spiced finish.
