Wine Review: I enjoyed this light straw colored Kabinett level Riesling. It opens with an inviting citrus and kiwi bouquet with motes of light pear and honey. The medium body is smooth, creamy, crisp, and bright with mouthwatering acidity. The flavor profile is a ripe citrus fruit including clementine, lemon, apricot, and pink grapefruit with notes of honeydew melon. The semi-dry pineapple finish is juicy and lingers. This Riesling would go well with smoked salmon with cream cheese and dill on French baguette. - Joe
Winemaker Notes: Lucashof is owned by Christine Lucas sister to Nik Weis. This wine has soft and delicate aromas of peach and nectarine fruit on the nose. On the palate, it is crisp with balanced acidity and a touch of apple flavor. The finish is pleasing and lingering.
