Wine Review: This midnight black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa is a big boy. It opens with a fragrant blackberry bouquet with hints of black cherry cordial. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and rich. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe and extracted blackberry and black currant blend with notes of integrated oak and minerality. I also detected hints of black olive and black licorice. The finish is rather dry and its dusty tannins and fruit flavors linger and last for quite some time. This very nice Cab would pair well with a grilled porterhouse steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a distinctly layered wine with notes of ripe dark plum, black currant and sage. Rich and full-bodied, this superbly balanced wine has an expansive mid-palate and an exceptionally long finish. Already displaying a refined profile, this vintage's well-structured tannins and ample acidity will allow it to age for more than a decade.
