Wine Review: This ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Louis Martini opens with a mild plum and red currant bouquet. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile is black cherry with hints of strawberry and mild plum. There is a touch of minerality and oak in the background but the fruit is the show on this one. The finish is dry and fruit flavors and very mild tannins fade away nicely. This Cab is a nice weekday offering to serve with a grilled thick and juicy Angus burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our Louis M. Martini Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of the unique characteristics from several vineyards, creating a superbly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine has ripe flavors of black plum jam and black currant, a reflection of the warmer vintage. Hints of oak and a touch of baking spice support the fruit.
