Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Syrah from Limerick Lane opens with a shy black plum, cedar, and raspberry bouquet with hints of chocolate, cassis, and wet river rock. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, clean, and fresh. The flavor profile is a graphite and black plum blend with notes of mocha and cassis. We also detected hints of clove, cedar, black pepper, and oak. The finish is dry, and its chewy and dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would decant this wine for a bit as its smooths out its tannins nicely. Then we would sip it on its own. With food, we would pair it with a cowboy ribeye steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
