Wine Review: This ruby colored Zinfandel from Limerick Lane opens with a wet stone and black raspberry bouquet with hints of cherry, cedar, and dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a stewed black plum and bold blackberry blend with notes of spice and black licorice. We also detected hints of black tea, stone dust, and dark chocolate. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and bold dusty tannins are nicely extended. The Tasting Panel would decant this Zin in the near term before pairing it with a charcuterie board and king cut prime rib. Enjoy – KWGTP
