Wine Review: This ruby colored Zinfandel from Limerick Lane opens with a plum pudding and boysenberry pie bouquet with hints of fig, drunken cherries, and violets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and robust. The flavor profile is a stewed plum and cherry blend with notes of stone dust and mild lingonberry. We also detected hints of oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and refined and polished dusty tannins linger and last for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this food friendly Zin with a porterhouse steak or with Sheri’s sausage stuffed mushrooms. Enjoy - KWGTP
