Wine Review: This this very pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre opens with a fragrant white grapefruit and nectarine pit bouquet with hints of lime zest. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with fresh plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, slightly viscous, vibrant, and zesty. The flavor profile is slightly tart white grapefruit and lime blend with notes of stony minerality, saline and white pepper. I also detected hints of Honeydew melon in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity stick around for quite some time. This Sauvignon Blanc benefits from some aeration and is a food wine. So, I would give it a few good swirls before pairing it with a baked cod with a Ritz cracker topping. Enjoy - Ken
