Wine Review: This was my second favorite offering in a flight of dry Rieslings. This pale yellow colored wine opens with a wet stone and green pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, nicely round, yet has a touch of crispiness. The flavor profile is a slightly ripe Anjou pear with very nicely integrated minerality. The finish is dry and rather pleasant. This wine would pair well with ham with a brown sugar and honey mustard glaze. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our sustainably-farmed 2007 Lazy Creek Vineyards Riesling from Anderson Valley has enticing and fragrant floral aromas complemented by hints of honey, spice and minerality. Completely dry, Asian pear and Mandarin orange flavors are graceful on the palate, while bright, refreshing mineral notes weave through and round out the wine’s clean, lingering finish.
