Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Primitive opens with a wintergreen and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe blackberry with a hint of peppermint and black cherry. There was a dash of black pepper as well. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are a little sticky. This wine would pair well with Ragu Bolognese. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A balance of elegance and power; inky black fruit, spice and white pepper, jammy black cherries, plums, blackberry fruit, truffles, tar, and espresso. Warm and rich in the mouth with a creamy texture; slight notes of chalky Puglia terroir, the ripe fruit is well supported by the deep structure of the wine.
