Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cab from Lancaster was recently recommended by our tasting panel. It opens with a mild blackberry bouquet with hints of anise and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and shows nice finesse. The flavor profile is a very tasty black raspberry with notes of black cherry and black pepper. The finish is quite dry and its fine tannins drift away nicely. This very versatile Cab would pair with many foods. The panel recommended filet mignon and seared tuna. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Estate grown, produced and bottled, our 2006 Lancaster Cabernet has lush ripeness with plums, rich black cherry and cassis characters and sweet, spicy aromas of clove, nutmeg, and vanilla. Finely textured tannins and layers of complexity extend over the long finish. Aged 22 months in French oak barrels, this wine was bottled unfiltered.
