Wine Review: This straw-colored Chenin Blanc from Washington state opens with a honeysuckle and lemon verbena bouquet with hints of wet granite. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The flavor profile is a quince and honey blend with notes of marzipan, stone dust, and chamomile tea. I also detected some hints of Anjou pear. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors linger nicely. I would pair this Chenin with a pan-fried trout or with turkey and stuffing. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: With distinctive aromatics of white floral, Meyer lemon, green apple, and wet stone, this dry Chenin is vivid and lively. In the mouth, flavors burst forward with Anjou pear, magnolia, lime, and citrus custard, offset by a remarkable note of salinity. The wine is snappy and interesting, carrying through to a flavorful and vibrant mouth-watering finish.
