Wine Review: This translucent and bright yellow colored Chardonnay from Kumeu River opens with a poached pear and custard bouquet with hints of grilled pineapple and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and bright. The flavor profile is a fresh pineapple and ginger blend with notes of nectarine and Honeydew melon. I also detected some hints of green tea and pear. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this excellent Chard with a seafood casserole. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2022 Coddington is beautifully ripe in the yellow peach and apricot spectrum, with a background of toasted oak and caramelized hazelnut. It is the biggest style in our range, and satisfyingly rich as such, but also nicely balanced with its acidity.
