Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored red blend opens with a funky black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a blackberry with notes of black cherry and black raspberry. I also detected some oak, minerality and strawberry licorice in the background. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and acidity linger for a while. This red blend would pair well with braised short ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Complex nose displaying layers of ripe cassis, dark plum, toasted vanilla spice, bay leaf, floral notes and subtle earthy aromas. Excellent concentration of fleshy round tannin fill the palate along with flavors of ripe blackberry, chocolate covered cherry, clove, dark truffle and well-integrated caramelized oak. The persistent yet elegant finish is polished and round. Drink now through 2024.
