Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Syrah opens with a fragrant black currant bouquet with hints of blackberry and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, fruit forward, and rich. The flavor profile is a dark chocolate and black currant blend with notes of blackberry, blueberry and oak. The finish is dry, chewy and its dusty tannins are moderate and stick around for quite a while. This Very Good Syrah would pair well with an Angus mushroom burger smothered in Swiss. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep Garnet in color with inky black tints. Lovely aromas of violets, blueberry, licorice (red and black), and white pepper. Intense flavors of olallie berry and blackberry with lingering hints of red raspberry. The wine coats the entire palate with complex and lively tannins.
