Wine Review: This garnet-colored Pinot Noir from Kosta Browne opens with a pomegranate and red plum bouquet with hints of red cherry and light oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, delicate, and super smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty pomegranate and red plum with notes of black pepper, clove, and oak. We also picked up some hints of oolong tea and light chocolate in the mix. The finish is dry and its fine gentle tannins and flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with a pan-roasted quail with dried cherries and Pinot Noir sauce or with a roasted glazed duck. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Nose: Intense aromas of cranberry, pomegranate, and Rainier cherry. Underlying notes of cinnamon, lemon, thyme, and sarsaparilla.
Mouth: Powerful, with a rush of intense fruit, balanced by the complex texture. Polished, with well-integrated oak and a focused structure.
