Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Kokomo was well received by the Tasting Panel. It opens with an attractive boysenberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of plum and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a vanilla oak influenced black raspberry with notes of spice and black pepper. We also detected some hints of dark cherry as well. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Zin with a pork tenderloin with and apricot glaze or Asian styled roast pork. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Smoky aromas give this wine allure, its layers of flavor soft and flowery, accented by red berry fruit. On the elegant spectrum of the variety, the wine is fairly subtle, with an evolving cinnamon spiciness to the finish.
