Wine Review: This gold-colored sparkling wine from King Family Vineyards in Virginia opens with a display of some tiny streaming bubbles. It also features a bouquet of bread dough and almond with a hint of ginger. It is light bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is slightly frothy, fresh, and bright. Like the aroma, the flavor profile is a pleasant bread dough and almond blend with notes of green apple and chalky minerality. I also detected hints of white tea and touch of ginger. The finish is dry, very refreshing, and has nice length. I would pair this very good sparkler with my pear salad. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This dry sparkling wine, produced in the traditional method from 100% Chardonnay, is bright and crisp. On the nose and the palate, the wine is full of rich green apple, pear, and brioche. The mouthfeel is bright and silky with an underlined light toast finish.
