Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Aussie red blend opens with clove and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, smooth, silky and quite fruit forward. The flavor profile is a clove infused ripe blackberry with integrated black licorice. I also detected some chai spice, black pepper and touch of vanilla oak. The finish is dry and its medium tannins are bit sticky. This wine would be perfect for a summer barbecue. I would serve it with some ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Perfumed notes of dark fruits, licorice and black olive combine beautifully with the characters of older French oak spice and char. Richly rewarding, the classic flavours of the Shiraz and Grenache complement each other perfectly, the gentle tannins, earthiness and older French oak generously contributing to its long persistent palate finish.
