Wine Review: This pitch black colored Shiraz opens with a fragrant ripe blackberry bouquet with a hint of black licorice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is an extracted black currant with notes of black pepper with hints of minerality and a touch of black plum. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged and well managed. This Shiraz shows even better after a little aeration and would pair well with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Oracle presents in the glass as an intense, crimson red with distinct purple hues. Lifted blood plum and dark berry fruits dominate the nose, with hints of coffee, chocolate and menthol integrating beautifully for complexity and intrigue. The palate is richly textured and flavoured, with dense, dark berry fruits wrapped in firm yet fine tannins and a focused, lengthy finish.
