Wine Review: This pale coral colored wine opens with a watermelon bouquet with hints of wild strawberry and faint cantaloupe. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright and zesty. The flavor profile is a chalky minerality and gentle light peach blend with notes of saline. I also detected hints of wild strawberry and maraschino cherry in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this Rose with a hot summer day on the beach. Serve slightly chilled. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2021 Justin Rosé is a dry, aromatic, refreshing wine that is also a versatile wine worth reaching for all year long. A Rosé of mostly Syrah that is bright and clear with a pale salmon color. It is very aromatic with red berry, apple, chamomile, and floral notes. On the palate, it is medium bodied with muted strawberry and raspberry and red apple fruit flavors upon entry. Some lemon and chamomile flower also show up on the midpalate. The finish is fresh and textured with lingering red fruit and herbal notes. It’s a perfect match for a wide variety of pairings or just on its own and is a wine that is meant to be enjoyed at the table, poolside, beachside, or outside.
