Wine Review: This white gold colored Sauvignon Blanc from Napa opens with fragrant ripe Bartlett pear like bouquet with a hint of honey. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and viscous. The flavor profile is a tasty Bosc pear with very nicely integrated minerality. I also detected a little green apple, white pepper and vanilla oak as well. The finish is dry and it fades away nicely. This Sauvignon Blanc is very good and rather food friendly. I would pair it with grilled halibut stuffed with Imperial crab meat. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2011 Sauvignon Blanc offers perfumed aromatics of jasmine flowers, Kaffir lime leaf, orange blossom and lemon cream frosting. The medium-bodied mouth feel lends balanced acidity followed by bright flavors of melon and citrus with a long, fresh finish.
