Wine Review: This dark ruby colored GSM is actually Shiraz driven and opens with a fragrant boysenberry and red currant bouquet with hints of craisin and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile is a blackberry and black olive blend with notes of stewed black plum and espresso. I also detected some hints of loam and black cherry in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins and flavors are nicely prolonged. I would decant this red blend before pairing it with a wild boar ragu over fresh pappardelle. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Nose: Lifted vibrant red fruits, with underlying notes of licorice, cinnamon, and a hint of smokey oak.
Palate: Generous, velvety layers of red and black fruits, hints of savory spice and gentle tannins finishing very long and pure.
