Wine Review: This white gold colored Roussanne and Marsanne blend from Jean-Luc Colombo opens with a bee's wax and quince bouquet with hints of kiwi, honeydew melon, and a whiff cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is very nicely balanced, smooth, and viscous. The flavor profile is a chamomile tea and mild peach blend with notes of quince and dried coconut. We also detected hints of tangerine, chalky minerality, and salted caramel. The finish is dry, and its flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this white blend with baked halibut. Enjoy - KWGTP
