Wine Review: Medium-dark ruby with brick red edges, this Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon presents with aromas of black raspberry, anise, allspice, saddle leather and espresso. On the palate, the wine is medium to medium-plus in body with firm tannins and prominent oak surrounding a flavor core of mostly black fruits including plum, black cherry and a hint of boysenberry. Traces of dark chocolate were also present. The finish is dry yet its ripe fruit flavors go on for some time. Pair with grilled marinated skirt steak. – Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of black cherry, blackberry and toasted oak delight the senses. In this full-bodied and layered wine, flavors of black cherry, ripe plum, black current and violet unfold. Soft, well-integrated tannins lead to a long, lingering finish filled with savory spices. This wine is balanced, bold and elegant. Pairs beautifully with meals featuring duck and red meat along with hearty roasted vegetables.
