Wine Review: This is a crowd-pleasing Sparkler from J Vineyards that really delivers. In the glass it is pale straw colored with lots of very tiny bubbles. On the nose, I found peach, chalk, lemon-lime, and brioche. On the palate, it has a light mousse, a medium body, plus acidity, and is crisp and quite dry. There are flavors of white peach, green apple, raspberry, steely minerality, light citrus and some toasted pecan at the back end. The finish is very extended, with a pleasant bitter note at first then the fruit comes back. Sip with crab cheese puffs. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: Our J Cuvée 20 Brut opens with nuanced aromas of toasted almond, followed by notes of Braeburn apple, dried cranberry, and ginger snap. A delicate dance of bubbles leads to a soft palate with flavors of lemon meringue pie, as the wine's creaminess is whisked away by a lively finish. Pair this versatile sparkler with Dungeness crab cake or lobster roll, fresh popped white cheddar popcorn or goat cheese rolled with herbes de'provence.
