Wine Review: This light yellow colored California sparkling wine opens with a pear and lemon bouquet with hints of honey. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and lively. The flavor profile is a mineral infused green apple with notes of lemon. I also detected a hint of white pepper and touch of pineapple. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors linger nicely. This sparkler was a crowd pleaser and would be a great opening wine at your holiday parties. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our J Cuvee 20 Brut gracefully opens up with the crisp, clean allure of crushed hazelnut and ripe apricot aromas. Upon entry, you notice a delicate tickle of fresh mousse on the nose and palate. The acidity adds to the liveliness and the lemon lime zest leads to lingering flavors of sweet Asian pears. This is the perfect wine to share and pair during special gatherings. I suggest serving it with sea scallops in a citrus-based sauce, or a mixed greens salad topped with toasted nuts and drizzled with a light vinaigrette dressing.
