Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Pinot Gris opens with a mild peach bouquet with a hint of apple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and round. The flavor profile is a tasty mild mineral influenced gentle nectarine with a hint of peach and apricot. The finish is dry and its mineral tones linger for a little while. This wine served as a perfect opening wine at our early evening Fourth of July celebration. We felt it would pair well with quiche Lorraine or with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2010 J Vineyards "Cooper Vineyard" Pinot Gris has a bouquet f honeysuckle, lemon blossom and lime on the nose, with hints of kiwi, mango and jasmine. The crisp, clean entry and velvety mouthfeel unfold into flavors of sweet summer melon, tangerine and apricot. A hint of honey on the palate nicely complements the fruit and acid. There is an elegance and structure to this wine that makes it a great accompaniment to a variety of foods. We recommend pairing our Pinot Gris with baked or grilled fish dishes.
